A meeting was called by Malda’s Englishbazaar Municipality today at the Malda Town Hall to discuss the remaining payment for the ‘Housing For All’ scheme.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Englishbazaar Municipality, Nihar Ranjan Ghosh, Vice-Chairman Dulal Sarkar as well as the ward Councillors and municipality officials. The 823 people who will be receiving the houses under the scheme were also present at the meeting.
The scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee, to ensure that the homeless people have a roof over their heads. The meeting was called so that the 823 people who received the payment on three occasions can receive the rest of the money soon.
During the meeting, Chairman Nihar Ranjan Ghosh explained the housing scheme to the homeless people. He also told them that the work of the scheme must be carried out in accord with the rules.
