A protest was held by the Kalabagan area’s residents in front of the office of District Magistrate demanding the construction of road in East Khagrabari Gram Panchayat, Coochbehar.
A memorandum was also submitted to the District Magistrate. The locals threatened to boycott the Panchayat elections if the road is not constructed before the same.
The residents named Rita Das and Sagar Barman stated that the road which is located near the Kalabagan High School has been in poor condition since the last 15 days. But the Panchayat has not taken any step to repair the road.
