Kerosene foulplay, two tankers seized, one arrested in Siliguri

CID officials caught two kerosene oil tankers near the dumping ground at Eastern Bypass under Bhaktinagar police station. About 20,000 liters of kerosene oil has been recovered from both the trucks.

It has been learned that last night, the CID officials caught two oil tankers with the numbers WB 73E 5772 and WB 23 A 6320. The tanker with the WB 73E 5772 had filled 12,000 liters of oil from IOC from the NJP depot and was going to be taken to Alipurduar’s Kiran Agency, but in between the road this oil, was transferred to Tanker with the WB 23 A 6320 number, which already had 8,000 liters of oil.

Tank driver Manoranjan Roy (46) of WB 73E 5772 number has been arrested in relation to the incident. In this regard a case has been registered in Bhaktinagar police station.
