Kalimpong girl Teresa brought back home in a coffin from Delhi

SILIGURI: Kalimpong girl Teresa was brought back home from Delhi – in a coffin. Locals of Tarkhola in Kalimpong today staged a demonstration to protest the unnatural death of Teresa. The protesters alleged Teresa was killed and demanded the arrest of Teresa’s killer.

Teresa’s family and locals protested with banners and posters demanding the killer be given strict punishment.

According to sources, Teresa was working in Delhi and was living with Himachal Pradesh resident Manu Gopal. However, on May 7 Teresa was found hanging from the ceiling of the room they were living in.

Delhi police arrested Manu Gopal in connection with the case. Teresa’s father Kadam Rai said his daughter had left home for Delhi in search of a job three months ago. She had even called him from Delhi recently. Teresa’s death has left him devastated.
