International elephant day celebrated at Bengal Safari Park, Siliguri

Today, on the occasion of International Elephant Day, two female elephants Lakshmi and Urmila at Siliguri’s Bengal Safari Park celebrated this day by cutting cakes and by feasting on water melons and bananas.

Since Sunday morning, forest workers were busy decorating Lakshmi and Urmila. On this special day, small children were also invited. The cake was also brought for both. Mahavat Raghunath Rai went to the two elephants and cut the cake. After this, children fed melons and bananas to Lakshmi and Urmila.

From this morning, various programs were organized for the elephants in Siliguri’s Bengal Safari Park. Drawing competition was also organized for children. Mahavat Raghunath Rai also told many facts to the children about elephants.
