Indian Team Loses, But Siliguri's Wriddhiman Wins All Hearts

Wriddhiman Saha, who hails from Siliguri, shined bright with his marvellous wicket keeping tricks.

Saha took ten catches on the fourth day of the first Test Series between India and South Africa in Cape Town. Wriddhiman Saha has broken the record that had been set by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Saha has become India’s first and the world’s third wicket keeper to take ten catches in a Test match. He took five catches in each innings on the Newlands Cricket ground.

Jack Russell and Abraham de Villiers are the top two cricketers who had taken 11 catches each. Wriddhiman Saha is on the third position in the international ranking with Bob Tailor of England and Australia’s Adam Gilchrist on the top of the list.
