An unbeaten 72 off 52 balls from Captain Virat Kohli, helped India beat South Africa by 7 wickets in the 2nd T20I at Mohali, Punjab, on Wednesday. India took a 1-0 lead in the ongoing series against South Africa with one game to go.
With South Africa ending their innings at 149/5, the opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma added 30 runs in the first three overs as India were off to a flying start. India lost Rohit inside powerplay for 12 runs. Dhawan, however, joined hands with the Indian captain to stitch over a 50-run partnership to get India to a strong position.
Kohli, also, went past Rohit to become the leading run-scorer in T20Is.
