Kalimpong, 22nd November: The Chief Minister of the State, Mamata Banerjee, has been implementing various schemes through the tourism department and GTA to promote tourism in the two districts of the hills, Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
Under the scheme, various tourist places are being constructed by the GTA at various places to attract foreign tourists to these two districts. In this context, the GTA BOA Chairman Anit Thapa formally inaugurated Nokdara, a picturesque tourist spot on the tip hill of Kalimpong.
Located in the Lole-Lava region of Kalimpong, the tourist spot is spread over 9,990 meters. The view, here, is quite breathtaking with facilities like boating. Its construction was started in 2015. The construction of the tourist spot was done at a cost of Rs 14,16,76,000 in two phases.
