Before participating in the meeting called by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Siliguri’s Pintail Village on November 21, the Central Committee of the Gorkha National Liberation Front called an emergency meeting at a hotel in Kalimpong, sources report.
After the meeting, the President of the Central Committee, Mohan Ghishing, shared that the emergency meeting had been called to discuss the demands and the memorandum that GNLF would be presenting on November 21.
Without specifying the topics that were discussed during the meeting, the Central Committee President said that GNLF would also be shedding light on the troubles that the hills are facing.
“The emergency meeting was called to strengthen our views and side before the November 21 meeting. We are also considering to have a mass public meeting in Darjeeling on December 6; which will also be held in Kalimpong and Mirik,” President Mohan Ghising said.
