The industrial meet started in Darjeeling today, which also being attended by the state’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee.
While addressing the event, CM Mamata said, “If there is peace in Darjeeling, prosperity will follow in no time. Industrialization is not just for big developments. There is a lot of scope for Darjeeling in agriculture, horticultural orchids tourism, cultural tourism, transport, IT and software too.”
The CM also urged the people by saying that they should make a start, for the ‘government will surely support’. She also spoke about encouraging the younger generation to bring them forward.
During the time, CM Mamata also announced that the state government will be sanctioning Rs. 100 crores for promotional industrial development so that a job-oriented industry would flourish in Darjeeling.
