Firearms recovered from vehicle parked in front of Alipurduar DRM office

Firearms have been recovered from a vehicle with Assam numbers that was parked in front of the Alipurduar DRM office. Two people have been detained in connection with the incident. Police of the Junction Outpost are continuously interrogating them.

In the details of the incident it is known that at around 12.45 pm, a vehicle with AS-16D-9286 number was parked in front of the Alipurduar division of the North-East Frontier Railway. It is known that both the owner and driver of the vehicle went inside the DRM office.

Office staff and locals saw firearms in the vehicle and informed the incident to the police. The police came and detained both of them.
