Election workers hold protest on National Highway in absence of buses

Election workers were seen protesting on the National Highway in the absence of buses to travel to their destination on Wednesday morning in Islampur. However, in less than an hour the administration took over the situation.

It has been reported that in the morning, the employees appointed for election work in different sectors reached the Islampur bus stand to go to their respected duty area, however the people did not get the bus.

It is alleged that even after addressing this to the high officials appointed in the election work over the phone, there was no benefit out of this. After this, an enraged voters started protesting on National Highway number 31.

A few hours after the administration intervened and provided the buses, the situation became natural.

Meanwhile, the people suffered a lot due to the traffic jam on the highway due to the protest.
