DRM unhappy with Tindharia workshop’s condition

Siliguri, 20th July (Subham Pal): DRM RK Verma of Katihar Division of NF Railway today inspected the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. He took a close look at the various Toy Train stations and workshop of Tindharia. During this, the DRM was very disappointed by the unclean premises of the workshop and noticed many other flaws.

DRM Verma said that the workshop is in a deplorable condition since no one is paying any attention to it. He further added that the restoration of the workshop will commence from tomorrow onward. He also further falsified all news of Darjeeling Toy Train’s World Heritage status being under threat.

This is very worrying news about the DHR workshop at Tindharia, particularly at a time when the operation and maintenance of the DHR is under the spotlight from UNESCO. We look forward to hearing that the workshop will soon be back on a properly run basis -and with effective management on-site to keep it that way.
