Dinhata Municipality takes an initiative to prevent the sale of adulterated food

Cooch Behar, 2nd October: A joint team of Dinhata Municipality and Food Safety Department launched an operation in various food stores of Dinhata to prevent the sale of adulterated food before Durga Puja.


On Wednesday morning, Food Safety Officer Tapas Sarkar, along with the staff members of the Dinhata Municipality inspected several food stores, grocery shops and a bakery shop in the city.

The officials visited the shops to check the quality of food and also checked the required documents, including food licenses. In this day’s operation, the food safety officer warned some of the workers in the shops as the kitchen of some shops were not in proper condition. The officials stated that more such inspections will be conducted in the future.
