Darjeeling MP Raju Bista inspects the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital

Siliguri, 2nd October: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista arrived at the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital, today. He was accompanied by the Siliguri Organizational District BJP President Abhijit Roy Chowdhury. The MP interacted with the patients admitted in the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital, the hospital staff, the hospital’s Additional Superintendent Sudipta Mandal and other officials.

During the visit, the MP expressed his anger upon noticing a pile of garbage on the hospital premises. Addressing the reporters after the inspection, the MP stated that the departments of the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital are in a very deplorable condition as one bed is shared by 2 patients and some of the patients have not been treated yet. The MP further stated that garbage has been increasing due to the presence of illegal shops inside the hospital premises. The MP mentioned that the Health Department should take some necessary action as soon as possible and stated that he would write a letter to the Prime Minister in this regard.
