Naxalbari, 14th August: A bike rally with the national flag was organized today under the aegis of the Minority Cell of Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence.
The rally started from Uttara in Gosaipur, through Naxalbari and ended in Panitanki. During this, Mahibul Islam the President of Trinamool Congress’s Darjeeling District Minority Cell, Naseem Khan, and others were present.
Mahibul Islam said that the rally was organized on the occasion of 75 years of independence. He added that there is a great contribution of minorities in the history of the freedom struggle. Hence, the rally was organized to pay respect to all the freedom fighters that sacrificed their lives and years just so the future generation will also commemorate this day of Independence.
