Cooch Behar Municipality launches special anti-plastic campaign

Cooch Behar, 9th November: A special anti-plastic campaign was launched by the Cooch Behar Municipality, on Saturday. As part of the campaign, the Municipality authorities recovered a large amount of plastic from various shops including the city's sweet shops, and fruit shops. The shopkeepers were also warned as the use of plastic may lead to their license getting canceled.

The Municipality officer, Kaushik Barman, stated that under the instructions of the Chairman of the Municipality, a special campaign was launched against plastic, today. Shopkeepers were warned and a huge amount of plastic was recovered. Strict action will be taken against shopkeepers and their license will be canceled if they are found using plastic again.
