Conflicts continue to occur between Trinamool Congress and Trinamool Yuva Congress in Dinhata Mahakma of Cooch Behar district. The people of Dinahata are horrified by the rising incidents of bomb blasts, arson and destruction.
Last night in the Basantirhat area of 2 number block of Dinhata, Trinamool Yuva Congress member Krishna Modak’s house was set on fire. Trinamool Congress is being accused for this action. In this fire, Krishna Modak’s house was completely burnt to ashes. On the other hand, a similar incident occurred on Monday night, in which Trinamool Congress office was destroyed by gangsters and bombs were thrown at some shops in Dinhata-2 number block of Marianna Market.
Today, in retaliation to this incident, the merchants of the Mariana market burnt a tyre in the market area and protested strongly. Due to this, Dinhata Police station personnel reached the spot and bought the situation under control while giving assurance to the merchants as well.
Meanwhile, North Bengal Development Minister Rabindranath Ghosh said that there is no involvement of any party members in such incidents and those who are carrying out such incidents are all anti-social. The police have been enquired about this issue. A lot of weapons and bombs have been recovered in police operations till date.
