West Bengal’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has appealed to the hills’ political parties to restore the peace in the region.
While talking to the media in Kolkata, the CM said, “Education of the children has been disrupted. There is a crisis of food among the people. I appeal to all the parties to drop the violence and restore the peace in the region.”
“If the parties retract the indefinite strike and come back to the path of peace, then the state government can arrange for a meeting with them within 10-15 days,” Mamata Banerjee stated.
