New Delhi, 03rd December: Centre releases 414.90 crore rupees to the cyclone – Bulbul affected states of West Bengal under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). 552 crore rupees have also been allotted to Odisha for the aid of the cyclone-affected areas.
Earlier West Bengal State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the Prime Minister took the stock of the situation and assured all possible help. Despite this, no funds had been received so far for the cyclone-affected people.
Vietnam and the Indian state of West Bengal as well as Bangladesh were struck by a strong tropical cyclone Bulbul in November 2019, causing storm surge, heavy rains, and flash floods across the areas.
