The British scientist, physicist and cosmologist, Stephen Hawking passed away today.
Stephen Hawking died at his residence in Cambridge at the age of 76 years. Hawking’s children Lucy, Robert and Tim shared the information with the media.
Stephen Hawking was one of the most brilliant scientists whose works include black hole and quantum theory. He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 1963 and the doctors had said that he will only live for two years.
In spite of being wheelchair bound, he continued his education in Cambridge. A film ‘Theory of Everything’ had also been made on his life.
