Brave Tiger felicitated in Darjeeling Fest

Darjeeling, 22nd September: Tiger - the 4 and a half-year-old pet dog who saved his 58-year-old owner Aruna Lama from a leopard was acknowledged today in the on-going Darjeeling Fest and the organizers felicitated him with a memento and a medal.

Tiger on the night of August 14 battled it out with a common leopard and saved his owner after she came face to face with the leopard. Standing less than 2 feet tall Tiger, which is a crossbreed, had become a part of their family in the year 2017 when he had come to their house and refused to leave it.
The felicitation was part of the dog show held today with dogs from different breeds like St. Bernard, Tibetan Mastiff, English Bulldog, Daschound, Alsatian among others from the Hills, Sikkim, and Kolkata participated in it.
