An 'anti black money day' was called by the Siliguri Organizational District of the Bharatiya Janta Party in favour of demonetization in Siliguri.
BJP Siliguri Organisational District's General Secretary, Abhijit Roy Choudhury, also spoke at the event which had been organized in the Bidhan Market locality on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, the General Secretary also gave a response on the decision of other political parties who were observing a black day yesterday since it marked an year to demonetization.
He reportedly said, "Only those people who lost a lot of black money due to demonetization are observing a black day today."
Abhijit Roy Choudhury further highlighted, "General people have supported demonetization and have showed their support by voting for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand."
Moreover, General Secretary Abhijit also said that the vote share of the Bharatiya Janta Party has recorded a rise from 10% to 42% in the state of West Bengal.
