Siliguri, 14th October: The teams Bengal Red, Bengal Green, and Bengal Blue will participate in a cricket tournament that will comprise of visually and physically impaired athletes. A Blind Cricket Tournament is going to be held at the Siliguri College grounds on the 19th and 20th of this month. The initiative has been taken under the joint management of the Siliguri Cricket Lover's Welfare Organization and Siliguri Unique Social Welfare Society.
Earlier, this initiative was taken in 1996. Manoj Verma, former cricketer and the President of the Organization informed about the tournament in a press conference held at the Journalists Club of Siliguri on Monday. A total of 50 players from North Bengal and Kolkata will participate in the tournament. Blind Cricket World Cup 2018 champion team player Surojit Gahara will mark his presence as the chief guest during the event.
