Accusations of death of a patient due to lack of treatment raised against North Bengal Medical College-Hospital

Siliguri, 9th October: Accusations of death of a patient due to negligence in treatment, have been raised once again against the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Rashida Begam.

According to sources, Rashida Begam, a resident of Dhupguri, was admitted to the North Bengal Medical College-Hospital due to a liver problem. The deceased's husband, Sikander Ali, alleged that Rashida Begum was not treated properly in the last five days. Most of the doctors were on a leave due to Durga puja. Sikander Ali has alleged that his wife died due to a lack of treatment.
