Trade unions call strike on February 26 opposing Budget 2021

Siliguri, 22nd February: After the recent fuel price hike, the 2021 Budget is now making headlines. The traders have expressed displeasure over the Centre’s new budget alleging it to ignore the poor masses and their needs. Condemning this, all business will be shut down across North Bengal on February 26.


Surajit Pal, on behalf of the Eastern ABC Chamber of Commerce and Industries, said that 22 organizations of the Eastern ABC Chamber of Commerce and Industries will support the strike in Siliguri. The 24-hours bandh is expected to make a loss of around 500 crores in the city.
