Fifty-two representatives of thirty countries will be visiting India on January 21 to visit the mega tourism project Bhorer Aalo in Gajoldoba. The countries that will be sending their delegation include Australia, Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the United States of America, Russia and the United Kingdoms.
The state’s Tourism Minister, Goutam Deb, shared in a press conference today that along with Gajoldoba, the delegation will be heading to Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Mirik and Dooars as well.
Minister Goutam Deb also said that the tour of the international representatives has been organized with the joint initiative of the tourism department and the North Bengal Zonal Council of the CII and that their aim is to promote Bhorer Aalo.
It has been reported that the representatives will attend the Tourism Summit of Destination East in Kolkata on January 18 and 19 too. Minister Goutam Deb also said that their new tourism strategy will focus on promoting new industries too.
Raj Basu, Chairman of CII’s North Bengal Zonal Council Rajeev Lochan were also in the press conference today with Minister Goutam Deb.
