5 houses damaged in elephant attack in Birpara

An elephant attacked and damaged 5 houses in the Jaybirpara tea plantation area of ​​Birpara, late last night. Local people said that during the night, a wild elephant suddenly entered the area and started a massacre.

The elephant broke into two other homes along with Vikram Munda, Uttam Baraik and Malti Khadia’s houses and ate all the grains kept there apart from causing destruction. Meanwhile, local people have expressed anger over the apathy of the forest department. At the same time, Wild Life Warden Seema Choudhary expressed concern and stated that the victims will be given compensation for their losses.
