2 and 1/2 feet long sword found while cleaning a drain in Siliguri’s Ward No. 12

Siliguri, 9th November: Sensation prevailed after a 2 and 1/2 feet long sword was found while cleaning a drain in the Ward No. 12 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation. A Municipal Corporation employee, Sushil Biswas, found the sword while cleaning the drain in Raja Ram Mohan Bylane of Hakimpara in Ward No. 12, on Saturday morning. Sushil Biswas immediately informed Ward President Ramen Prasad, who in turn informed Ward Councillor Nantu Pal about the incident. Nantu Pal immediately informed the Police about the incident. The Panitanki Police reached the spot and took the sword with them.


It has been primarily assumed that the sword is quite old. The sword has inscriptions that have not been understood yet.
