Brown sugar was seized by the soldiers of the Panitanki Camp of SSB's 41st Battalion from the Panitanki Market, sources report.
The Commandant of the 41st Battalion, Rajeev Rana, said that they had received an input about the brown sugar being buried under the ground in the market. Led by AC Neeraj Mishra, the soldiers laid a trap to nab the person who would come to recover the opioid.
The soldiers waited for a long time before they started digging the ground themselves. A total of 280 grams of brown sugar was found during the time.
The international market value of the seized drug is said to be around Rs. 1.5 crores. Commandant Rajeev Rana shared that the brown sugar has been handed over to the Kharibari Police.
