Parents Hold Protests For Admission In Siliguri’s School
A protest was held by the parents and guardians at the Siliguri Girls High School alleging that the school is not taking admissions of some children in Class 5.
It has been found that the admissions for Class 5 has finished in the schools of Siliguri. But hundreds of children have not received admissions in the schools and their guardians are now facing difficulties.
The parents and guardians had organized a meeting with the Siliguri Educational District’s School Inspector (Secondary), Tapan Basu, where they prepared a list of 78 girl students who are eligible for the admission.
It has been alleged that the school management has denied admission to the students. The management issued a notice which stated that only 30 seats are available in the school; which is why the admissions will be done through the lottery system.
Tapan Basu stated that a meeting will be conducted to resolve the issue.
